Naruto 600
I have been enjoying how the tension had been slowly building up in the past few chapters, then the obvious happened, and fandom theory won, which still didn't answer why Tobi went crazy.
And when we get to the climax...THAT'S HIS REASON FOR GOING BATSHIT INSANE?!
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??!!
I can understand Sasuke's resentment towards the world, his entire family was killed by the heads that represented them, his betrayal makes sense, his anger towards everyone makes sense. But Tobi......................ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! The only Uchiha whom I thought died sane and a hero........because of a girl?! No guy likes his girl so much that they'll destroy the world for it. NO ONE!
I thought the Uchiha arrogance was what was infuriating, but, their entire thought process is infuriating. I don't understand why so many fans root for their cause of world domination & destruction. Its one thing to support a character because of their development and kickass personality, a.k.a being good at being bad. But its entirely another to support their cause, and no I don't buy the 'its fiction, they are fictional characters' Implying that war and violence is the only way to resolve disputes by supporting the characters hell bent on revenge, dudes, how is that even mentally healthy?! >___________< I know that in most shonen manga the protagonists are made frustratingly optimistic and get away with everything easily, making it more appealing to support the underdogs. (The makers of Ben 10 Ultimate Alien even had the guts to address this protagonist-wins-always-without-effort in an entire episode) Well in this respect I think Gintama is the only manga/anime where the main character is interesting no matter what.
Back to Naruto, my interest in the recent happenings just re-started at a very inconvenient time. ><
